Guide on Paper Submission

Papers will be selected on a competitive basis and an expert panel will be appointed for screening all the submissions.

Kindly email the full papers (7,000 - 8,000 words or 20 pages in length and double spaced) or an abstract (maximum 2 pages and double spaced) along with contact information and a maximum 150 word biography for each author to conf2010@amic.org.sg by 28 February 2010. All text should be written in Times New Roman font size 12. Attachments should be in MS Word. Citation should follow the APA style. Results of the call for papers will be sent out starting from 1 April 2010. The deadline for the completed papers will be 15 May 2010.

Please also note that for the first time in this conference series, we are considering poster presentations of papers that may not fit into themed sessions, thus opening up more opportunities for participation.

Note: By submitting your paper, you agree that at least one of the co-authors plans to register and present the paper in person at the conference.

Criteria for review

FULL PAPERS
Criteria used to judge full papers will include, but not restricted to the following:

Purpose of the paper

Organization of the paper

Research Methodology

Relevance of paper to the conference

Subject of the paper representing a significant direction for communication research in Asia

Evidences and conclusions relating to the purpose of the paper with the evidence supporting the conclusions

ABSTRACTS
Criteria used to judge abstracts will include, but not restricted to the following:

Theoretical Orientation

Quality of writing and organization of the paper

Indications of potential contributions of the study to communication research in Asia
