AMIC has entered into a book distribution
agreement with the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS).
ISEAS will now act as exclusive worldwide agent for all AMIC titles
published since 2006.
ISEAS is a regional research centre dedicated
to the study of socio-political, security and economic trends and
developments in Southeast Asia and its wider geostrategic and economic
environment. The aim of the Institute is to nurture a community
of scholars interested in the region and to engage in research on
the multi-faceted dimensions and issues of stability and security,
economic development, and political, social and cultural change.
To achieve these aims the Institute conducts a range of research
programmes; holds conferences, workshops, lectures and seminars;
publishes research journals and books; and generally provides a
range of research support facilities, including a large library
collection.
ISEAS is the largest publisher of academic
books on Southeast Asia, focusing on economics, political and social
issues. It has published more than 2000 titles since 1970. ISEAS
Publishing has a reach of 20,000 customers in over 100 countries.
With an extensive dissemination network and distributors in Europe,
Japan, Australia, India and Asia, AMIC is ensured of greater visibility
and distribution of its titles through this important partnership.
